An interesting game for Wonju DB (23-6) which hosted in Wonju second-best Sakers (19-9). First ranked Wonju DB had an easy win 91-75. Wonju DB dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sakers' 38. Wonju DB had a 33-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by LG Sakers' players. It was a good game for American power forward Dedric Lawson (206-1997, college: Kansas) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Jongkyu Kim (184-1988) contributed with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Naturalized American guard Justin Gutang (191-1997, college: Skyline JC) answered with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for LG Sakers. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Wonju DB have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 23-6 record. LG Sakers at the other side dropped to the third position with nine games lost. They share it with Suwon KT. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Seoul Thunders maintains tenth place with 5-23 record. Defending champion Anyang keeps the seventh position with 19 games lost. Sono SG will meet higher ranked LG Sakers (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anyang will play against the league's leader Wonju DB where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
There were no big surprises in other games of round 21: Suwon KT beat KoGas on the road 85-75. Anyang lost to Seoul Knights on its own court 68-86. KCC Egis unfortunately lost to Suwon KT in Busan 83-98. Mobis Phoebus managed to beat Seoul Thunders at home 102-85.
The most impressive performance of 21th round was 20 points and 5 rebounds by Ishmael Lane of Seoul Thunders.
